Happy Saturday! This week has felt like it dragged by for some reason, but now that it’s the weekend, I can finally kick back and do all the blog hopping and reading I’ve been missing out on. I was honored to be linked by Zuky @ BookBum last week in her Favorite Reviews of the Week, inspired by Ottavia @ Novels And Nonfiction’s weekly Links I Loved This Week. All Out: The No-Longer-Secret Stories of Queer Teens Throughout the Ages edited by Saundra Mitchell — Mel to the Any

Melanie’s review of this collection of historical fiction short stories featuring LGBTQ+ characters is wonderful! She provides a mini-review of all the short stories, and it sounds like there’s a lot of intriguing, emotional, and important tales.

I just cracked The Echo Killing open today, but I’ve been so excited to read it all week since Annie’s great review. I’m always down for a good atmospheric mystery!

The Smoke Thieves (The Smoke Thieves #1) by Sally Green — Parabatai Reviews

Chaos and Fae’s wonderful review made me need this series in my hands immediately. I’m so intrigued by the sound of the ensemble YA fantasy cast of characters.

Tuesday: April 10

Circe – The Woman Behind the Myth (ARC Review) — The Book Cover Girl

Angelica’s review of Madeline Miller’s second Greek retelling made me nostalgic about all the reasons why I loved her debut, The Song of Achilles. The humanization of such powerful myths is definitely a strength in Miller’s writing, and from this review, it looks like she nails it again in Circe!

To Kill a Kingdom — One More Pa(i)ge

Paige shares an incredibly thorough, well-rounded, and honest review of a fantasy novel I’ve been dying to read. Loved the compilation of quotes at the end! I think they made me even more excited to read this one.

“What Would the World Be Like Without Captain James Hook?” Villains I Can’t Live Without — The Orangutan Library

Villains. Are. Everything. If you know me at all, it’s no secret I tend to find heroes boring and gravitate more towards falling in love with villains. This is such a fun post on some favorite villains that have cropped up in past works of fiction.

Wednesday: April 11

“The Foxhole Court” (aka the best series in the world I promise) — Malanie Loves Fiction

I haven’t read The Foxhole Court series yet, but can I just say that I already know from Malanie’s review that I’m going to love it and she’s going to be my actual spirit animal when I do read it? Her review could probably get anyone excited about reading the series, so definitely check it out!

Norrie has a great review of a gory thriller I’ve been dying to read for some time. And I love the spotlight on international covers at the end of the review!

I’m super picky when it comes to dystopian novels, but Cara’s awesome, quote-packed review has sold me that I want to read this one.

The world needs more books about queer girls, period. So much love to Aurora for putting together this spotlight of three really interesting science fiction and fantasy novels with queer female leads – and they all have gorgeous covers.

Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco — Books and Blends

Have I screamed recently about how much I want to read Stalking Jack the Ripper? Well, Kayla’s phenomenal, character-driven review of the sequel made me convinced I need to make room for it on my May reading schedule.

Ooh, the nostalgia is so real with this super fun post. Holly may have convinced me a re-read is necessary!

ARC Review: Scared To Death – by Rachel Amphlett — It’s All About Books

This mystery has intrigued me since I first laid eyes on it, and Yvonne’s great review reminded me how much I want to read it. Kay Hunter sounds like a fantastic protagonist, and I need to know what happens!

I loved putting this post together! You all have such wonderful content on your blogs, and I wish I could showcase all of you ❤️ Here’s hoping I can manage to put a similar post together every week or every couple of weeks to continue spreading the love.

I really want to read Circe soon so I should probably check out some reviews so I know what to expect, and oh I already love A Series of Unfortunate Events, just need to watch the TV show now. 😀

    1. Ahhhhh! Okay but your review had me grinning and nodding in agreement the whole time and I haven’t even read the dang book yet so that totally says something, haha ❤️❤️❤️ I am so down to scream about everyone with you when I read it!!!
